When my parents separated and our family home was up for sale. I still remember what the for sale sign looked like, who the REALTOR® was and the name of the brokerage as it was one of the scariest moments of my life! Let me tell you as a 7 year old, the joy I felt when my parents agreed to not sell our home and move my brother and I. It is still a feeling I can’t explain. Today, I now understand my parents struggle and how hard this would have been for them as well.
In 2003, I knew real estate was where I wanted to be. When I worked for a local mortgage company; I saw firsthand the excitement and pride from first time home buyers when everything was finalized and how rewarding this was for them. However, I was only 23 years old and a single mother to my daughters Gracie & Emilie, so I put my dream of being a Regina REALTOR® on the back burner in order to continue to provide for my family.
I was on maternity leave with my son Jekker when unexpectedly I was hit with the loss of my father. While listening to the audible book "PurposeFULL Life" by Melissa Ambrosini, she says “Do you wake up everyday excited for life? Do you feel like you are sharing your greatest gifts with the world? Do you feel like your life has purpose and meaning? Do you feel like you are expressing your true self and your true gifts?"
These questions flooded my mind. I thought of my Dad telling me about his most rewarding days in his life which were when I was born because he always wanted a daughter and I was his pride and joy and when he was a car salesman because he took pride in helping people buy reliable vehicles knowing the customer had great service. So with all that being said, I immediately signed up for my real estate course through the UBC Sauder: School of Business Real Estate Division.
Which brought me here, knowing I can help clients become first time home buyers or help clients upsize their home because of their growing family brings me so much joy and makes me feel FULL-FILLED! I feel such integrity filled alignment with where I am meant to be in my life. I have joined Coldwell Banker Local Realty and became part of the Cornerstone & Co Real Estate Team with REALTORS® who have over 20 years of experience.
